TVEF Supporting Students


The Thames Valley Education Foundation (link - is responsible for creating, administering and stewarding funds for over 500 awards and scholarships. Thames Valley students pursuing higher education at various institutions are faced with the formidable task of acquiring sufficient funds for tuition, materials and living expenses. Charitable gifts from generous donors are invested and the income earned each year is paid out annually to qualified students.


The Caring Fund provides crisis funding to students and their families, providing a lifeline of support to ensure that students can focus on learning. Funding for students reached $52,082 in 2016 and covered emergency costs for food, clothing, medical expenses, college/university applications and transportation.


The Learning Enhancement Fund allocated $28,250 in 2016, providing TVDSB schools funds that support unique programs or initiatives that enhance learning opportunities for students and are not funded by The Ontario Ministry of Education. Robotics, outdoor classrooms and Mathematics Nights are a few of the projects that received grants from the Learning Enhancement Fund in 2016.
