STEAM Learning Conference
The annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Environmental Education, Arts and Mathematics) Conference brings together teachers, administrators and other educators to learn innovative ways to inspire critical thinking and problem solving in the classroom.
Last April more than 400 staff attended the half day conference. Held on a Saturday, the sessions are led by teachers from the TVDSB, allowing them to provide examples of tools and lessons they have successfully used in the classroom.
Past sessions have included Creating, Collaborating and Connecting with LEGO, Teaching Grade 7/8 Geometry Through Art and Getting Active in Mathematics.
Planning for the 2017 conference is in full swing and is expected to be well attended.
