International Student Certificate Program

The International Certificate Program (ICP) was launched at TVDSB this September.  The specialized program encourages global citizenship and the development of cultural competency skills – key components in 21st century education.

Students earn the certificate throughout secondary school by: participating in a series of cultural awareness and intercultural communication workshops; studying and international language; completing summative tasks of their choice and taking internationally-focused courses; gaining international experience locally or abroad and more.

The program was developed in alignment with national and provincial direction and is currently being piloted at five TVDSB schools: Arthur Voaden Secondary School, Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute, Oakridge Secondary School, Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School and Westminster Secondary School.
